Ever since it was clear the deal was gonna go through, my boss seems to have doubled down on work and also the asks to my team. I can’t believe anybody who “knows nothing” about what is going to happen would behave this way. Now, he may not know exactly the details, but it wouldn’t seem so far fetched to me that his boss and his boss’s boss wouldn’t signal to their club to keep the norm without good reason.

Management is a very dangerous place to be when being acquired by BC. Hock literally does the Thanos snap on layers of management
your own personal integrity should dictate that you continue to do your job to the best of your ability
Managers know nothing here
We will all know soon enough
This is standard "we are being bought out, sell your grandmother and the closet fast" approach that all businesses to. Basically . .take every deal you can as fast as you can as you may not be here in 3 weeks.
Love it whilst it lasts, it will not last.
During times like this many people take a "jesus is coming look busy" type approach to work. It would seem to me that at this time the future is probably set for all concerned.
"Really? So because you’re a manager, that means your job will be safe. You think Broadcom cares if you are a manager or not?"
Reply: "Yes I do, and yes they do."
Yes they do..... a manager may loose "title" but will be more a commodity navigating the chaos and direction follwing day 1. Fact!
"Really? So because you’re a manager, that means your job will be safe. You think Broadcom cares if you are a manager or not?"
Yes I do, and yes they do.
“I am a manager (maybe), so my job is safe…”

SMH…
No one knows nothing about anything. Keep your heads down. generate some revenue until you are let go or not.
I am a manager (maybe), so my job is safe unless you ask me difficult questions that I know the answer to, but I won't tell you, cause I am the manager. Now, this is anonymous, so let me tell you, I know more than I can say. I am working on only one spreadsheet right now. I will not be able to tell you whats in it, but don't hold your breath. I am saving my own as here. If I have asked you, in the last couple days, what have you worked on in x timeframe, then you are in deep sht.
Now you won't believe me, cause that's not what you wanted to hear. So stop asking questions you are not ready to get an answer for.
TL;DR: Find a job, start looking now, start growing today. I am not telling you sh*t if you ask me again.
