I’m curious on the actual numbers. There’s a total of ~400k employees but I haven’t really seen many impacted that work close to me. I think last round we had like 10 impacted out of 400 in our department.
It seems like my team will be merging with another. It will probably lead to some realignment or cuts.
But anyone have any idea how many people actually got cut? It seems many people from acquired companies were mostly effected
“Approved vendor” - just as the “leadership” so arrogantly thinking they can outsmart the “vendor” as a stepping stone to offshore. I had been on that journey as onshore point of contact FTE (forced). They will string you along (opportunity for recurring revenues/change orders). They too, recognized the so called “leadership” is “clueless”.
The snowball effect just kept on going - of course “leaders” sided with the “approved vendor” more blood shed with onshore long tenure American hard workers.

When I, and the rest of my former CHNG team members, were let go last month, I was told the total number of layoffs/RIF's since Q4/22 was close to 10,000 across UHG. No, that's not a typo....10,000.
Keep in mind they started “quietly” the RIFs since Q4/2022. The numbers by other posters reflected when the numbers becoming increasing higher since Q2/2023.
Keeping everyone in the dark to avoid WARN act compliance/severance/unemployment payout.
Deceptive/Unethical business practices at its best! Sadly we worked/work for this org.
There are hundreds, if not close to 1000, contractors about to be cut and filled in with "approved" vendors. Contract is inherent with risk, of course, but there is no way Fleapro can do any job with any expedience and shred of quality. It takes five resources to accomplish any given task, four Googling and one with the access to make the motions.

Educated guess based on chatter, observations and meeting content is 800-1100, including onshore and global from Optum since April. That doesn't count anything from UHC.
In my segment, 200+ btw jun-aug. This doesn't include those from wellmed, TEC, TPC, MedEx, the hospice/home health group- LLH I think is the name...
