Is there any information about employees who will either be part of transition or get a permanent employment whether they will be asked to relocate (if they are in a place where there is no Broadcom office)? Apologies if this has already been answered previously.

Can they relocate me to a Caribbean Island ?
Nobody knows yet
I came from CA Technologies acquisition and I’ve never heard of anybody being asked to relocate. They may ask you to attend a Broadcom or VMware office if you’re within commute range but I’ve never heard of people being asked to actually move their residence to attend an office. I fact it’s quite the opposite. Several people in my Broadcom office had to move to another state or location and got perm WFH designations due to moving to where there is no office available.
Ask Broadcom. Or wait til we are told, by Broadcom.
What if you don't want to relocate and just take the severance?
I’m not sure about transition teams but a former CA employee had posted that for permanent positions they were given 6 months to relocate near an office. Not sure if any relocation compensation was provided but I would assume they did not.
This doesn't appear to be a problem caused by any company. If you're unable to work from the office and it's a requirement, your only option might be to consider resigning.
Consider it from this angle: this is a method for bypassing severance packages and conserving funds.
