WFH Setup

Will we be asked to return our home office monitors and other accessories, if we are let go, or just the laptop?

None of the WFH gear I have has an Asset tag. I assume they will not ask for it back. Only my laptop has an asset tag.

I left VMware after Broadcom purchased it. I still have a Mac laptop from them. I tried to give it back through their 1-800 tech support number because no one ever asked for it after I left. I was no longer an employee but I was given a tracking number or whatever it's called. That's the end of my story. No one contacted me for it. It sits in my attic because of the VMware password security on it. One of these days, I'll take it to a local computer store and redo it. I really didn't want it, but I wasn't going to chase these people to give it back.

Go F yourself Broadcom/VMware. You are just going to dump it in the e-waste bin.

No, these go to local corporate liquidators. You can look them up in your area and visit them. Great to pick up items for cheap. But it's a mad grab to get them before other businesses come in and buy entire lots.

Most people that ask this abused the he-l out of Coupa and stacked a ton of gear in the house

Another example of bad VMware managment, letting people abuse the system and build a 10 monitor setup or whatever.

Most people that ask this abused the he-l out of Coupa and stacked a ton of gear in the house. Just look at the past purchases that people have made because they could get away with it.

"“If it has a barcode, they want it back. Check Slack discussions.”

What if I removed said barcode?"

Doesn't matter. If it has a barcode that means IT are tracking the item and know it is with you.

No one will care, but if your severance is contingent upon returning your junk you'd be a fool not to return it.

Some people stocked up on Oasis supplies hoping to keep them as freebies.

Or maybe they're already been resold on Craigslist 😂

Why would this matter? If they want everything just give it back it doesn’t belong to you

Yes I have returned the laptop. What? You haven’t got it? No, it must have gotten lost in the mail.
