Can they be counted on to help the average guy/gal?

The amount of downvotes on this post goes to show Frontier is probably astroturfing this area now.
HR of any company is not designed to protect you. It is designed to protect the company.

This is a good article to dig through.
While I believe there are many capable, good people working in HR, they serve the interests of the company, and not the people, like every company.
They are only there to protect Frontier.
For the most part HR has been responsive on the behalf of Frontier. When comparing to Verizon it was “No Blood No Foul” mentality. Worst case scenario file with National Labor Board. But from what I’ve scene with Frontier, they are responsive.
No. Not in anyway. HR will ignore you if your are hourly. If you do get a hold of them they tell you “talk to the union”. The union will “look into it” and at best file a grievance on your behalf. Which is the equivalent of them “complaining to HR”. A complete worthless and often illegal way to deal with employees. Going to the state is not much better as they will ask “are you represented by a union?” Back to square one. Complete shitshow. This place is more crooked than a dogs hind leg. However, if you’re a member of the alphabet mafia. You can say someone looked at you funny and they will be likely to lose their job.
Labor works mostly with union issues and they seem responsive. HR can’t seem to answer simple questions without having to get back to you. You have to keep following up with them to get your questions answered. I’m sure they are short handed as most departments and perhaps experiencing turnover. So, answer to your question, ‘it’s a hit or miss’. Good luck!
