I got layed off on Tuesday. Managers weren't asked about my work ethic, which my manager had praised me on just a few weeks ago, ( by the way.) It was done by seniority and write ups, which were not theoretically supposed to affect your job unless you obviously got to that point. They told us our 401k was to be reinstated in January which lead myself and I'm sure others to believe things were back on track. What was that all about?? Deceitful?? I feel like it kind of was....I loved my job and I worked extremely hard to get better at it and even asked if I could come in and train a couple hours with one of the seasoned veterans...on a good note...both my supervisors were amazing to work for, and I truly believe they were just as blindsided as I was....I'm thankful for the time I had there , as I learned a ton and gained some "Real" friendships that I'm confident will last forever...but I'm definitely stressed and not scared but definitely anxious about the whole situation...

I think what someone was trying to say yesterday we were here we know they are laying b off but they drag their feet. So you get to worry all day or week still don't know my fate.

To the person who said they got B team yesterday and get A team tomorrow you must be one of those front office people that doesn't know the work schedule
A team doesn't come back til Sunday. Your out of touch with the work force. Just like you are out of touch with reality go on living in your fantasy land up front play your music while the titanic is sinking.

They must be labeling it as something else because it’s not listed under the Warn act at all

As someone who got laid off today, don’t feel bad for me. I feel bad for all that still have a job, you all have to continue working with the BS. CS is getting worse by the day. Watch your back, you may out soon if you don’t follow all the rules. No one likes their job anymore. No moral, no thank you’s, no nothing. Keep ole chuck and the upper management happy, work yourself to death, while they’re all laughing and counting their $$$$.

I hate that anybody has been laid off. But at some point in time after 5 months of starving everybody somebody needs to make a management decision. And they have we'll see if this corrects the problem or do they cut again. In the meantime I would if I was in charge cut out ridiculous jobs. We have too many process texts too many schedulers too many scrap monitors and QA monitors. If anybody that has any experience should be able to do their job without these jobs in place. There are a lot of hard-working people that go and find out when the product is going to be run how soon they can get the product. That falls on supervision. But the people working on the floor they're already doing their jobs. Let's just call a spade a spade. You could have cut 20 jobs in those departments but instead you've got to keep those people in place. Those are all special people that always have special jobs that were awarded based on special personalities. It's a joke man wake up

Laying off but some dept want know til the end wish this company would grow some ba--s tell the truth to the employees just let's us know so we can move on with our lives. Put us in financial hardship for months with no overtime hours then continue to sc--w while they are deciding to lay you off. Dangle on the string you worthless piece if sh-t. That is our value with this company.

Don't worry folks, the excessive amount of managers, directors and vp's have deemed themselves essential despite producing nothing of value and their jobs will be safe!

Allegedly, pretty much the entire Fiber building at Claremont got walking papers today. About a dozen on A2 at Copper building. Write ups and under 2 year employees got cut.

Your company time has nothing to do with getting moved to nights unless you've been in the same job for that time. Unfortunately with the way they've structured time the last few years there is no way to know if you're being bumped unfairly

As far as I know it'll be about 300 between the two plants. About 3 years and under will get hit.

Good luck everyone. They really did this in a really sh---y way.

They just laid off one of my coworkers about 2 hours ago at Catawba, I’m very nervous that I am next but have no info just to confirm they are laying off production workers at Catawba as I’m typing this.
