Can’t say much but be on the look out for a lot of WTW job applications from now till the beginning of 2024…sounds like a lot of layoffs are coming soon.

It’s already started
Looks like the client managers are the next position being eliminated.
Carl said recently that he has shareholder promises to fulfil by the end of this year and that the work was “on track”. I don’t know if that means another wave or not, but the AI competition is related.
Massive layoffs of loyal employees. Jobs being offshored. No more personal touch, or relationship building with internal partners. Tickets only. Need something? Open a ticket, wait 2 days for a response.
They restructured july of 2022 and as a part of transformation of betterment of the company. NDAs have been signed by all on the transformation team. They are overly focused on money. Any job that can be offshored will. Client facing jobs are not being replaced. Expect an influx in insurance professionals in the job search. WTW is withholding 401k company contributions so all employees lose a year of market benefits. Too many cost cutting exercises. People aren't being replaced. They are making work life unbearable so people will leave so they don't have to pay out packages.
Has anyone heard anything else about the lay offs? Can we expect more in January 2024?
Yes, they call it a “transformation” with the spin that non-client facing jobs for the most part are targeted and those that can be performed overseas. Not the full true story. I was impacted the other month and did not fit into either category. They also said no more job eliminations in the future. Did not believe that then and seems to be coming true. In the end it’s pretty much about reducing costs and not about eliminating poor performers.
They have been laying off people already, they are calling it "transformation" its been going on for months.
WTW has too much internal spending. Investors are not happy. Cuts are starting this week, roles in marketing, comms, research, recruiting, the list goes on are being impacted soon.
how do you know? and which section of the company?
