I am in one of the ops teams, and I am 99% sure I will be let go on day 1. I am just so tired with all the BS and toxic environment. How can I be laid off tomorrow and still get the severance and retention bonus?

Come on back when you have something original to say versus blaming DEI on your failures.
Yes, they will. But DEI will continue. Broadcom focuses on the main thing. If you're getting wrapped around the wheel on nonsense from All Hands, you should learn to focus your time, energy, and motivation. There is no room for sitting and being offended by everything at Broadcom.
LOL. I can't wait to see your face in six weeks.
Me too! Since Betsy the DEI queen and Magoo will be gone, I’m sure the in your face moralizing will disappear at every all hands.
Not your DEI numbers.

You will get fired in Broadcom for missing your numbers.

Keep your head in the sand. Broadcom has a large DEI initiative. And Broadcom holds its people accountable. If VMware missed their DEI numbers, they will just say they'll do better. You will get fired in Broadcom for missing your numbers.

Impossible given that VMware is still VMware til the acquisition closes. Either quit or shut up.
Have the cake and eat it, too? You won’t get a retention bonus if you’re laid off now.
Sick leave for the remainder of time?
Why don't you just continue doing the bare minimum and enjoy being paid while you search for your next job? Unless you've already found your next opportunity which you can start from Day 1.

Welcome to anger!
Can you give examples on what makes it toxic?
Just don’t work?
