how do these layoffs work? Is it a 2 week notice or do you leave the moment they tell you

They don’t keep people around. The notifications will go out on Thursday. People will be asked to return any Qualcomm property in a home office ASAP. Access to all Qualcomm sites is immediately removed to avoid sabotage. It’s really very impersonal.
The information I heard from one director was offial announcement is 10/4 and the last day is 2 weeks later. Not sure if it's same through the org.
Expect some sort of email blast to go out mid October. Good luck.
You get an email out of the blue to meet with your mama get in the morning. Meeting never has a subject. You meeting and they tell you an HR rep is always present.
