Do we have any insight on how Vmware BUs are restructured for joining Broadcom.

What does spun-off or restructuring of the EUC suite of products mean? Will those products be sold to a third party?

EUC is going, just not immediately. And Cloud Director is going too.

The recent reorg should be investigated by the SEC as Hock doesn’t own the company, yet is passing notes in class to Magoo.

Ya know, being sold off is likely the best result one can have other than landing a new position in another company.

Going to the office every day with a 3hr commute when everyone I work with is remote is the stuff of dystopian novels.

Life is too short to be beholden to a small Asian dictator like Kim Hock Un.

“EUC and CB to be spun off”

When? Day one?

Nobody here has the insight, unless they have been directly involved in the proposals.

CIBG (includes all profitable BUs and OCTO)
MAPBU will be sold off in sometime
EUC and CB to be spun off

As of last week the idea was 3 groups:

CIBG (with CMBU)
MAMBGb (just Tanzu)
SEBU

“My guess based on the recent org restructuring. CIBG(all things vSphere) and MAMBG(Tanzu +Aria (npc))”

SEBU(Velo cloud, telco/edge) also goes as BU from what we hear from out GM.

That makes it 3 BUs.

Sorry but our products are very integrated.
If nsbu sales are down it’s not being cut as Nsx is a huge part of vcf.
Nsbu, cmbu are linked!

Major business units within VMware will become their own franchises and run in a “sink-or-swim” fashion. Hock puts all of
these franchises on a slide every quarterly town hall and shows their financial metrics and whether your franchise is above or below “the line of doom”. The line of doom simply shows wether your franchise is in the black or in the red. The general rule seems to pretty simple: run as lean and efficiently as possible to maximize profit margins. High revenue means nothing unless profit margins are high too.

VMware will be purchased, gutted and plugged into Broadcom’s portfolio of franchises and profit margins will skyrocket.

I would say 3 bu’s due to the restructuring.

  1. VCF (vsphere, vsan, Nsx) aria and euc suite of prouduct
  2. Tanzu suite
  3. carbon black

1 has the joint customer success org, 2 and 3 have there individual customer success orgs as apart of there bu
