BC Software Customer Success - from ex Symantec ex CA experiences

Just wondering about the nature of the work in the software division of BC ie prior Symantec and CA within customer success. I've tried to ask around and network to find this information but have been unsuccessful.

At VMware we have technical staff, certified in VMW and often hired from being hands on in customer environments who assist customers in the adoption of our technology. This is very different from a non-technical account manager type person because of the nature of our products and the complexity of the customers environments etc. We are different in the program as our staff have the experience and the credibility to advise customers on a certain path with the tech.

Can anyone from ex CA ex Symantec now BC in Customer Success what the role entails, is it paid for by the customer or is it free from BC. How does Hock view tech resources would aid customers in adopting technology?

Isn't a CSM a "non-technical account manager type person"?

A CSM per product set? Symantec CSM & CA CSM or joint?
Do you have TAMs?

Every strategic account has a CSM who works with the customer and product teams to project manage adoption. Adoption is a huge focus for Broadcom to eliminate shelf ware and deliver value. The CSM is the scrum master and right hand man for the AD and a key member of the account team.

TikTokTan understands to some extent the value. It's really up to the SVP and GM to convince him they're needed. Some are better than others such as the mainframe svp and gm.
