Technology Outsourcibg/Offshoring Penny Smart Pound Foolsh

Cybersecurity attack is becoming prevalent within healthcare. The latest victim includes the Las Vegas entertainments.
Caesars Entertainment -- which runs more than 50 resorts including, Caesars Palace and Harrah's in Las Vegas -- acknowledged the attack occurred on Sept. 7 in a filing Thursday with the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission.

"Caesars Entertainment Inc. recently identified suspicious activity in its information technology network resulting from a social engineering attack on an outsourced IT support vendor used by the Company," Caesars said in its SEC Form 8-K filing.“
A company valued at $33,900,000,000 was defeated by a 10-minute conversation," VX-Underground said.

With the latest “trend” (past 10 years plus) of time to market by outsourcing/offshoring to justify for cost savings Good luck with sustainability. Yes, penny smart pound foolish is real as the leader can relate to sterling pound better than USD- sadly!

The criminal parallel - Cyber criminals demand ransoms from corporate America. Corporate America unethical business practices only retaliated paying for fines and continue to rake in millions if not billions with no consequences - risking PT health and life. Not to mention RIFs that impacting average folks family life..you be the judge !

Who is the bad guy ?
