I was laid off earlier this year and was part of the initial round and it was a whirl-wind experience. I was laid off before any announcement was made to the wider company and so never managed to find out what happened. Any insights as to how extensive these layoffs were? I was told that 80/90% of layoffs would be TCS staff with the remaining coming from full-time staff

The internal Rumor is that Travelport is being prepped for sale. Sales and Marketing teams are being terminated, positions frozen, no back fills, and offices closing. The primary product “Smartpoint Cloud” is like 1/3 done and they’ve been trying to push development teams to build as fast as possible while simultaneously pushing the unfinished product on customers for the last 9 months with limited success.

Worked for this company during the pandemic. We were asked to "volunteer" taking %40 pay cuts (although I had my doubts about Greg doing the same). I really enjoyed working there and met some great people but saw quickly that this company is not loyal to it's employees. Floors and floors of H1B's should have been a red flag.

Will this happen if the acquisition of Deem did not happen?

Our “Spe s first ask questions later” CEO, Greg Web. and his archaic “The office is still where it’s at” ethos exemplifies how we’ve learned nothing from the pandemic. We spent a ton of money on a new office in Guadalajara then slashed 30% of the entire staff. Remodeled offices in Barcelona and London that are only full when the CEO shows up. Despite high cost of living increases globally, around mid-year Greg Web told the entire company, “No pay raises, No Promotions and No Bonuses for 2023.” These keystone cop C-suite execs need to be replaced.
