Rejoining Google after getting laid off in January

I was laid off from Google in January (worked for 7 months ) , was able to find a job in a few weeks , with a higher TC , now long story short I have a offer from Fitbit , could you'll please comment on the Job safety at Google especially fitbit now , considering they just laid off hundreds of recruiters, does Going back to Google sound like a good idea ???

Fitbit is useful if you get mu---red so they can track possible distances of where you were and try to pin down suspects. I had a fitbit but only used it a few times and stopped. I don't know where it is and don't care.

@gsr+1oCs3NNS actually things are not better. The positions they have it open is took over the gap because people left the division after 6 months of the layoff. So nobody wants to work there except unemployed people

If they are hiring, maybe things are better. Or maybe someone wants more head count.

I worked at Fitbit and you will see the following:

  1. It is a mess
  2. It is toxic
  3. The leadership never built any real product before and the ones they built got cancelled
  4. It is a daily political game
  5. People bad mouth each other
  6. Your work will not be appreciated.

If you find a job on any other division, go for it. Fitbit, stay away. I do not think they will last that long.

fitbit is one of the worst division at google. Very toxic and highly political. Run!
