Just a matter of fact -few of the top factories are in the state of severely losing its experienced workers. The long periods of no overtime and repeated furloughs are driving the good workers away. This is pure short sightedness of the senior leaders. They might get cost savings now, but when the volume slightly returns, factories will struggle to get back to the same productivity and quality.

Just wait and see

From talking to some folks the strategy Tireman is using is to layoff a bunch of people to see where things break and then re-hire in to address those breaks. The problem is that (1) good chunk of manufacturing was already broken and under resourced and (2) people like to keep paychecks coming in so you have individuals from other areas (be it quality or AEs etc) jumping in to plug the holes so nothing “breaks” to the point where it becomes obvious to people at Tiremans’s level.

Layoffs end, who are you kidding. There would have been more already. Pretty evident Mike, Monish and Gibbons have a plan to tear the company up and break it into pieces. Dump the pension, contract out manufacturing and every support resource. They are all so proud of Ribbon. Stringing 3M Employees along so they can sack them and replace with cheaper labor in India, Costa Rica, etc all in next two years Those that end up in Health Care be glad you did, at least you will have prospects for growth and job advancement, that and new Fresh leadership. We have tyrant Roman, incompetent sneak thief MP and Mr. ETHICS Tireman ready to burn it all to tge ground.
