here is an idea: take a PTO starting early Oct thru 3rd week (or later) in Oct. due to WARN, they gotta give you a 2wks notice.

...to cover the bonus payout time (inside your 2 months WARN notice)

I know a couple times employees were on vacation when layoffs came in the past. They got a phone call from their director explaining they were hit

They don’t have to give notice to every individual. If you’re on vacation, you’ll be let go quietly when you return.
