What happens to those working in the wrong COE?

This round seems to be WFH being told to move to a specific location. They said that those affected would be what COE their "role" had been assigned to. Someone asked on the call they live drivable distance from Frisco, so would they be able to go there instead of Lincoln. Answer was, that if their role is designated to be in Lincoln, then no they couldn't go to Frisco. But they could train the replacement in Lincoln, and then try to find a position in Frisco, that is assigned to Frisco.

So what does that mean to the rest of us that are in a COE already, but not in the same one where they want all our teammates and manager to be assigned to? Are they coming for us next to move or find a new job in our current COE?

The Lincoln office is going to be a COE for mortgage but not if the current experts dont relocate. Its a planned COE, maybe, at best. I think there is 1 servicing product there and zero origination systems there. Bet the orig folks and the servicing folks are not even near each other

Are they moving Finance department out of Alpharetta?

Well, they were honest about one thing. They want you to train your replacement. They are hoping that you will train someone, get frustrated and then quit. My suggestion is to locate another position with another company if possible. I realize that you have time with the company, but so have so many others. And they have left for greener pastures. Many have gotten pay raises, less work and a better working environment. They want cheap and as they will soon find out, they will get what they pay for.

Yeah…I don’t get it. I reside close to Alpharetta BUT we told that it was REQUIRED to move to NEBRASKA….uhm COE is a COE. Someone needs to be more flexible because the rest of the thousand + workers will walk out real quick if they aren’t flexible

We know they are desperate to get butts in seats in BH, Milwaukee and Lincoln, but how are they going to relocate anyone to Alpharetta? Hate to break it to you all but Alpharetta is Full - no seats to be found here. People are already sitting in conference rooms with others because there are no cubes left. Did anyone ask about that in their meeting? Are they getting more space? I hear similar situation in Frisco. Not sure how they could relocate anyone to those offices if they don't have plans to secure more space. My guess it's BH or bust. Anyone coming to Alpharetta or going to Frisco?

Yes they are coming for you next. You should have at least a year until they work through the current force-relocate employees.

All work on the product will be done exclusively at the specified location. No exceptions. You will either move, be let go, or change which product you work on.

If you want to continue to work at Fiserv, (for some reason), you should be actively trying to transfer to the local product.*

*They can decide a product will be produced in a different location with no warning.

Training your replacement always brings up this point. Train them WRONG and then walk out the door.
