My manager (Director) stat d he himself is worried and fully believes more layoffs to come October and or November. He is planning on retiring as am I. I will not give Karen the satisfaction of deciding my date in the sh*t show of a company
The constant change in retail every year is telling (CVS = Change Very Soon…even if it makes no sense, isn’t strategically aligned to long-term strategy and negatively impacts colleagues, patients and customers). The move of Michelle out of retail makes me wonder what the future of front store will be with the move to healthcare delivery for all locations. All front store items can be bought elsewhere (other competitors’ stores or online much cheaper). Bigger change is coming! Will patients and caregivers trust CVS with their healthcare delivery and services when they haven’t properly trained and staffed their front store and pharmacies historically? Will they trust they won’t be harmed (we push out products like eye drops that are not FDA approved). What corners will be cut? I wouldn’t trust my health or life on retail healthcare. Maybe they are working with the government and current administration to prepare to offer healthcare to the millions of illegal immigrants flooding over our borders? They will be taking jobs and healthcare and government resources from legal citizens. How will this affect Medicare, Medicaid and social security? Is this the next cash cow CVS will benefit from government funding like COVID to prop up the business and stock/EPS? Hmmmmmmm…..very interesting.
