We all know less revenue generating BU’s and teams will be chopped. But what teams that are critical to revenue generating teams? Build, SCM, Devops.. We can’t survive without these teams!

Count on top-notch people filling roles that matter. Build/SCM/Devops is lean, but not outsourced. The "easy" stuff is outsourced.

If you fill an important role, you will enjoy working at Broadcom. Broadcom turn-over is much lower than other tech peers.

Language support is often seen as a significant expense. It's worth mentioning that in the EMEA region, language teams primarily focus on the Core products. Additionally, support for VSAN, EUC, and Cloud is currently available exclusively in English. It begs the question: How much priority does Broadcom place on language teams as part of their overall strategy? It seems that financial considerations may take precedence over the needs of people and customers in this regard.

Investing in support comes with expenses, while outsourcing tends to be more cost-effective. It raises questions about the necessity of paying high salaries in the US or EMEA regions. There have been speculations about the potential closure of the Cork location, with the possibility of shifting operations to more budget-friendly areas. VMware is already in the process of transferring cases to a partnering company, aligning with this cost-saving approach.
