Had anyone else had their role reposted, but at lower pay?
We had 3 people in our department. 1 manager and 2 subordinates. I was told only the manager role was kept for the others are eliminated. Today I saw my role posted in a different department (same business function/line) with 40k lower pay. The other person's role was also reposted, but that one is in another department with a 40k cut as well. The roles are identical with the same exact work, just reporting to someone else. I feel like I was let go due to salary and not a role elimination after seeing these 2 roles posted today. Is this even legal?
These 2 roles are word for word of job duties given to us when new manager started a few months ago. I compared the 2 and the only difference is the report to.
