Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Anyone else not getting paid tomorrow

I’m a MN resident and today was my last day. MN law requires the final paycheck truly be final, meaning my paycheck tomorrow should have been normal + the 32 hours from this week. Well thank god I logged in to download some paystubs for my records because this Friday’s check wasn’t there!! I called the employee center and they opened two cases for me, one of which has a one-day turnaround and the other has a two-day turnaround.

Am I the only lucky winner of getting NOTHING for my time tomorrow, on top of the severance taking until potentially as late as September 29? I’m furious and if they don’t have a resolution for me by 2pm tomorrow I’m considering calling the department of labor.

Offshore aligned perfectly with leadership so called MO - out of compliance/regulations perfect place for blame storm. One big happy family without taking any ownership. One hand to show the share holders cost savings by offshoring; the other hand used the bl$$dy $$ from RIFs to pay fines...

They probably offshore the payroll job and they were on the 700th holiday of the year so they didn't get to it yet.

Lol you people aren’t really suggesting that a paycheck being a few days late is ok and that I should give a company grace?? Bootlickers. Would love to hear what I don’t “understand”. Also I’d bet that you’d be feeling differently if it were YOU not getting paid and losing employee access to work on getting it resolved.

Very nice. I thought this was a board to talk about the sh-t this organization is putting people through—but god forbid anyone actually talk about taking action when they sc--w up—and trust me, the MN labor department is not going to laugh about wage theft.

Enjoy carrying water for a corporation that doesn’t care if you live or die, though!
