Aetna did any with their pension years ago by converting them to a cash balance option and upping the 401k match in its place. The pension was frozen, but still payable upon retirement to anyone that had it. It no longer earns credits or interest though.
There IS a pension plan in place for a certain subset of Aetna employees - it WAS frozen/eliminated at some point in time many years ago (I can’t remember exactly when) so it’s only the long, long timers that are eligible…
Nope voluntary resignations are coming today, no severance, no unemployment, just resign now. No retirement there is no retirement package and return your CVS tag for discounts it will be shut off too can't afford to be given any longer. In fact the CVS cards might be shut off today for everyone. Sorry.
Not a good look insulting others who you have no personal knowledge of. Shows ur life choices are questionable at best. I regret nothing- esp choosing to work for a company that offer benefits of some sort vs. a company that offer nothing up front but a plastic 'discount ' card. We are all stressed by this weeks bs- but not taking it out on others who are experiencing the same exact thing.
By Early Retirement I meant a severance package
Any pensioners here looking for a spouse,by Chance?? Wink wink
"Long time Aetna employees have a pension - been there 30 years" that was eliminated it doesn't exist. Aetna doesn't exist. If you ask HR what's left of them they will tell you the same. Say what? I hope you know all funds if there were any left were given to Lou as a farewell package. Why on earth would you stay this long with 1 company? It doesn't look good.
"Aetna long time employee is not grandfather in on their pension?". You're dreaming Aetna I hear eliminated them a long time ago long before CVS Health. Older Employees had I think Healthcare too after retirement. Not offered it was eliminated years ago to anyone new. You get nothing except the CVS discount card which they are going to pull the plug on too soon.
I’m with you, I want out so badly. Offer me the deal of 2011 or 2016, it will take me 10 seconds to acknowledge and say “Yes!”
Many people retired after they read the pension email sent in Dec 2022.
Aetna long time employee is not grandfather in on their pension?
Sure wish Long term cvs employees had a pension. we have a discount card instead.
Long time Aetna employees have a pension - been there 30 years.
CVS doesn’t offer a pension plan. So you are just waiting around to keep your employee discount card for life.
Unless aetna has a pension plan no one knows about that doesn't work for aetna, CVS has no pension plan. you can retire anytime, but it's on your own dime. No benefits or cash from CVS. You do get to keep your CVS discount card though.
Aetna employees can retire at 55 under CVS.
Being CVS does not offer any retirement at all, i doubt an early retirement would be in the cards. If you'd been at cvs more than a minute you'd know there is no retirement plan at CVS.
