Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Not told you’re safe?

If we haven’t been told your safe yet, should we assume an impact to our dept?

My executive director and VP are on vacation -- a real vacation, not a bullsh-t "hiding from the angry masses" vacation. I assume we're safe.

We got an email that our department is not currently affected. That screams it is possible down the line.

MAC team found out late this afternoon. Was told some CSR's from other teams we're being let go. We're to expect reorganization and we may be switching managers in a month.

Assume nothing, prepare for the worst, hope for the best. This company does layoffs routinely, if we survive this one there's always another one coming

I’ve heard nothing but silence in our area either way

I would think if you haven't heard safe or not by now, then yes, you are at risk. I mean, every single person under CDO Ali (chief data officer) has been informed. We had 4 department meetings today down the ranks. If other areas aren't on the same page while we are by now, that's beyond messed up. Sorry.

And how do you know they haven't? Do you have actual proof the 5000 number hasn't been reached? Are you keeping track of all the people who have been laid off?

Yep. They have not hit their 5000 yet.
