Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Have you seen your employer's EEO-1 report?

According to this article, some shareholders have also pushed public companies to disclose their EEO-1 reports or similar workforce diversity metrics and to separately publish reports on the effectiveness of companies’ DEI efforts. An EEO-1 report includes metrics by race/ethnicity, s-x and job categories

You should ask your employer for their last two EEO-1 reports (compare the differences) so you can understand the employer’s workforce, by job category, race, and gender. Under Federal law, your employer must send this report to the EEOC annually. While your employer is not required to release the report to you, unless they have something to hide, there should be no reason why they won’t provide you the report. You might be surprised by what you find.

If you're concerned about asking for the EE0-1 report yourself, you could always ask a reporter to request the EEO-1 report, and make the metrics public. That way, all employees and shareholders will be privy to the same information.
Then again, if you are a former employee, what do you have to lose?
Be well
