Anyway, seems like a regurgitation of the same stuff Karen has said at townhall and on CNBC, and the other public statements about the layoffs. Medicare stars -yada-yada, and reorganizing the company. And farewell to the people they let go. The company is probably focusing more on their "strategic vision" than the stuff on a vitriolic forum. If they're looking to save money, I doubt the shareholders would be impressed about them showing concern for a third party website. Maybe if the info was something intriguing/egregious, like, a list of employees being let go.

So will layoffs be continued only for Aetna or will others receive similar emails?

Reads like this:

Organizational Announcement
Aetna Clinical Solutions organization update
Colleagues,
As our CEO, Karen Ly--h, and Aetna President, Dan Finke, recently shared, our business is evolving to adapt to new consumer health trends and expectations. We're repositioning ourselves for the future through strategic investments enabled, in part, by operational efficiencies such as removing redundancies, deploying new technology, stopping work that doesn't align with strategy and reducing discretionary spending, which has led to the elimination of some jobs.
As a continuation of the operating model changes announced in March, we're adjusting our structure across Aetna Clinical Solutions, including the following key changes:
• Implementing the centralized Aetna Grievance and Appeals structure, announced in July, to further drive process improvements and consistency
• Restructuring Utilization Management Operations by establishing a government-focused UM team, aligning our Commercial UM team to the regional markets structure, and enhancing uniformity with case management
• Consolidating our Engagement Hubs across all lines of business to foster an improved member experience, increase focus on operational efficiency, and drive the enhancement of digital capabilities
• Centralizing critical shared service capabilities to further support our core operations teams, including implementations and workforce support
• Formalizing the alignment of Medicare provider delegation execution under our Strategic
Clinical & Business Operations team to support seamless maintenance and management of our delegated providers
Changes like these are difficult, especially when they impact those we work with every day. Most impacted Aetna Clinical Solutions colleagues have been informed this week of decisions affecting them or their teams.
As a company, we're doing everything we can to support those affected, including offering severance pay, benefits and outplacement services. I ask that you continue to show compassion and respect to each other, and please keep in mind that other parts of Aetna and our overall organization are in the process of making similar announcements this week.
For the remainder of the year, we'll stay focused on stabilizing our operating model and advancing on progress against our key priorities, including flawless day-to-day execution, effective vendor management, enhancing Medicare Stars ratings, addressing scoreable action items and increasing delegation oversight and rigor.
I want to express my gratitude for all of your contributions and ask that you take care of yourselves and one another. These changes are very difficult. For those impacted, thank you. Thank you for your service to our members, our providers and our communities
