Here’s what will be said at the Town Hall tomorrow.
- The company is doing great
- It’s an exciting time to be with P66 and in our industry
- Only a relatively few employees are affected by the news out of Bartlesville
- Business Transformation is wonderful
Here’s what will be said at the Town Hall tomorrow.
In summary..
“Our shareholders want their money!! We gotta give them their profits!!” Hahaha, lol, so fun!!
“Oh man my New Year’s resolution!? Gotta hit that gym!! Hitting the gym is a lot like cutting people!! Cut the fat and you’ll see results!! LOL!!! Man it’s so good to sit up here!! Let’s just keep pretending we didn’t just let go of nearly 300 people and just laugh!!!!”
I'm assuming they didn't take questions.
If they stand behind everything they're doing as the right thing to do, they should man-up and answer any tough questions that were asked.
I know I sent in a polite but to the point question myself.
I was busy and couldn't watch it live but maybe I can catch the replay.
Did they take any questions?
Sonya: High performers, we’re not going to pay you, but you’ll get an extra $5 on your VCIP. Hang in there!
KM definitely just opened the door to closing down B'ville. I'd bet it won't be open more than another 5 years.
Lasher is definitely eating the pudding and seeing it in his financials; the rest of us working are a$$ off to make up for the short comings of MSP and staff shortages and those were just laid off aren’t.
Waiting for townhall to start, I see we’re going with upbeat techno elevator music now like SpaceX—it’s because we’re transformed and progressive now.
Have faith in our leadership. The ELT team combined has hundreds of years of experience and can see things we plebes cannot see.
Do these cuts even save us money with how many ELT have been added? That should be the real question!
For the curious, here’s some perspective.
2022 Compensation
Mark Lashier: $16.1 million
Greg Garland: $18.2 million
Kevin Mitchell: $8.8 million
Vanessa Sutherland $7.8 million
Brian Mandell: $6.1 million
Tim Roberts: $7.2 million
Those are only the figures for the executive officers provided in the proxy. Non-executive officers make a pretty penny too.
But they’re worth it given all the great outcomes of BT right? Don’t worry they’re just like you and me and we’re all a big happy family. Things are great even though after these transformations we’ve moved from 1st to last amongst our peers. SMH
Lashier Townhall: “The cuts are minimal! Fortunately, they didn’t impact you! It’s a great day at Phillips 66, y’all! We have an amazing history and culture! Bartlesville, su-ks to be you!”
The CEO will say nobody on the ELT takes layoffs lightly.
As a parting thought, Mr. Lashier will add that if you work here and there is any way at all to marginally improve profit by outsourcing your work overseas, go ahead and put your house on the market now.
Then he'll jump on the P66 Executive jet and head for P66's private island in NY to hunt pheasant or turkey (which are bred there specifically so the Execs can blast them). But dont worry bro, he feels your pain.
Gotta love how they only refer to the 100 employees, omitting the 180 contractors who apparently don't merit a mention.
Any questions, other than those spoon fed from Corporate Communications, will be ignored or answered in a very vague, roundabout way, without really answering the question. No hard questions will be addressed.
