Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Simple question ....

What is your interaction with directors and ELTs?

Would you say hi if you meet them outside of work?
Would you avoid them if you see them?
Are you BFF?

What would it take for you to like ELT and minions more?

If you are laid off by them for whatever reason, would your relationship change?

Run the other direction as fast as you can! Mostly awful people, mostly!

I used to report directly to an ELT member until he let me and other colleagues go. My wife was undergoing cancer treatment. That same week he let go another TD employee who was also undergoing cancer treatment. And in that same week he sold part of his RSU (7-figure amount). So this is the type of people you work for at Teradata. Nearly everyone left director and above is just the top "game players". The ones that would sell their mom not to be laid off.

My pre sales director I highly respect. He gets given all the cr-p and just deals with it and he just rips in and helps out when needed. We all trust him and he is highly respected. He looks constantly tired because I suspect he is doing crazy hours. Unfortunately he is the good one, there are others here that I would actively avoid if I saw them on the street

I have had meetings with my region sales leader. Quite productive. Feels like honest discussions and think he cares. I don’t share this sentiment with the lines above him. Epitome of greed and CYA.

As a friend of mine used to say, I wouldn’t pi$$ on them if they were on fire. 😄
