Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Nepotism runs deep at Citrix

I'm tired of always having to do the jobs of people who got hired by friends or family and have no idea what they're doing. If they at least tried to learn that'd be one thing, but they know they can get away with anything so they don't even try. And guess who gets to pick up their work? Why is nothing being done about this by the senior management?

TK will just sell the ANZ business and triple revenue. Problem solved.

I was at Citrix and I'm in the EMEA region. I also heard about the ANZ leader not being well regarded by most members of the team down there. If @1ykr+1o7Cb7x0 current inside knowledge is correct the interim appointment of another failure is not good news at all for the team, customers and partners in that region. Wake up Hector you need quality and not further disfunction in your leaders!!

This has long been the case. I'm still in a global role (just) and an example I saw first hand was the most recent VP of Australia and New Zeeland. He had been in place for about a year he never demonstrated he had any plan and tried to get by on jokes and giggles and claimed he was all about culture. I understand lots of people left because of him....culture my a-s!!

Needless to say, after he did his duties and completed the redundancies in that region he left very soon after as he had no one to hide behind and he was being exposed with HQ. (I heard this first hand at a QBR)

He previously brought across a Sales Director from his previous Company. (I see from LinkedIn he is now the acting Head of Sales in the region.)

Internal feedback isn't good about his interim appointment. With Customers and Partners abandoning ship in droves as he chooses to have zero engagement in the business and is failing just as badly as his predecessor.

A classic example of where nepotism is exposed. I haven't visited the region since pre covid....I think I'd rather avoid the region until they get a quality leader in place that has a plan and the support internally and with the Channel Partners.

I realize it won't be ease to get a quality leader quickly but Hector, if you're reading this, you need to get rid of the fool who is causing more damage in region.

I can only guess this is happening in other regions too.

You aren’t playing the game right. They don’t create roles for their friends and family. Friends and family end up taking the roles because nobody else wants to work here. Consider this. Key people leave and their roles need to be filled ASAP. Better to have anybody than nobody and if you know the work won’t be done well, even better to hire an accomplice who will help cover up the mess you’re in - win/win. Why not get yourself a raise by taking the role and work less?
