Intuit’s Alex Chriss named new PayPal CEO

  • Alex Chriss, the executive who runs the small business and self-employed group at Intuit, is the new CEO of PayPal, members of PayPal’s board announced Monday.
  • Chriss will take over for PayPal’s longtime CEO Dan Schulman beginning Sept. 27.
  • Schulman became PayPal’s CEO after the split from eBay in 2015, and he announced a plan to step down from the role by the end of the year.

You should see this guy's compensation, it's absolutely nuts - over 3 years, factoring in salary (base 1.25 million) and stock, he'll clear nearly 50 million. That might not seem as crazy if he manages to pull the stock up, but even if he fails at that he's still gonna make bank.

And he's joining the board? And Dan is, too? How many overpaid board members do we even need?
