Wait until you start working for Broadcom. You'll be crying for good, old VMware times in no time. Mark my words.

I have close to 20 years of experience in software industry. Worked across the world - Asia middle east and US. Vmware is one of the best companies I worked for. I am not talking about salary and perks but about my career. I learnt new skills, and actually realized my true potential under the guidance of really good mentors. Got to engage in large projects and bring them to fruition. I am really proud of my achievements here which had real customer impact. Yes there is a lot of politics but it will be there wherever you go. So it is all in your hands to filter the noise and see the goalposts clearly. I will be sad if I was let go but I am ready for the next chapter to take my skills somewhere else.
In ancient Greece (469-399 BC), Socrates was highly regarded for his great wisdom. One day an acquaintance of the great philosopher ran to him and said agitatedly, "Socrates, do you know what I heard about one of your students?".
"Wait a minute," Socrates replied. "Before you tell me, I'd like you to go through a little test. It's called the Test of the Three."
"The Test of the Three?"
"Exactly," Socrates continued. "Before you tell me anything about my student, let's sit down and test what you're going to say. The first test is the Truth. Are you absolutely sure that what you want to tell me is True?"
"No," replied the man, "I have only heard of it...."
"All right," said Socrates. "So you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second test, the test of Goodness. Is that what you're about to tell me about my student something a good thing?"
"No, on the contrary ..."
"So," continued Socrates, "do you want to tell me something bad about him, even if you're not absolutely sure it's true?"
The man shrugged, a little embarrassed.
Socrates continued: "Maybe you can still pass the test because there is a third test - the Utility filter. Is it of any use to me what you want to tell me about my student?"
"No, not really."
"Well," concluded Socrates, "if what you want to tell me is neither true, nor good, and not even useful, why tell it to me?"
Hopefully the OP either works at BC or at VMW. If so- good for them. Either they will get laid off or work at a miserable company. Good thing I left and got another job in another industry.
Sounds like a DEI post, someone who values feel good work instead of actual productive work.
A sh*t post
What is the purpose of your nasty post? Does it help anyone? Is the purpose make people that are already nervous even more nervous? Do you enjoy this type of behaviour? You need therapy.
