Another great launch and recovery to ISS from Space X, as Boeing hides behind its failure’s with Starliner.
Yeah, no shortage of younger companies posturing to replace Boeing. And the government is very receptive to helping them as it has become very clear that they can't depend on or even trust Boeing anymore. Reckon it won't be too long before all the airlines come to same conclusion.

Boeing had a good run... But companies as old as Boeing are destined to flounder and fail. History has demonstrated time and time again that companies as old as Boeing breed nepotism and self-entitled, greedy, power-hungry leadership that isn't capable or even motivated to maintain company competitiveness and the basic core values that made the company successful in the first place. The good news is that younger and better companies like SpaceX have and will continue to replace Boeing.
I suppose the well-established lesson learned is that companies should have a strict policy in place that prevents relatives of families from creating this cancerous nepotism. For once it takes root, the only possible outcome is either a fast or slow lingering death.
The only reason Boeing Commercial turned a small profit last quarter was because they got to deliver and collect money on their now dwindling inventory which was manufactured and expensed years ago. All recently manufactured and future deliveries are at a double digit profit loss because current manufacturing expense grossly exceeds the sales price Boeing had to sell them for to retain some market share and still appear viable as a company so as to borrow a huge amount of debt to ensure funding executive bonuses and severance packages.
It’s not just space X. Airbus is dominating the narrow body commercial market.
The last three defense programs, Boeing has won the trainer, MQ-25, and the refueling tanker have been big money losers for Boeing.
In fact, Boeing commercial turned a small profit last quarter that was eaten up by the losses on the defense side.
We will soon get to watch China crush Boeing just like Japan did to Detroit 40 years ago. There will be stock hawks telling us this isn't possible...but history always repeats...
Very true. Boeing was destroyed from the inside by executives solely interested in generating wealth for themselves by casting competent/experienced engineers and managers to the wayside. Same with ethics and safety. These cost cutting measures endeared them to Wallstreet and enabled them to drive the long term historical stock price of about $50/share to about $450/share in a relatively short period of time. They now have a workforce that can't do much of anything anymore. But the executives still spew BS and their paid stock hawks are doing everything they can to hype their stock.
Boeing is getting absolutely destroyed by Boeing.
Well...yeah... Airbus is destroying Boeing too...and it be too long before COMAC will destroy Boeing too...first in China, then China partner countries and then all countries. Airline's like a duopoly...and Airbus/COMAC is clearly the future duopoly.
