It is noticeable that more and more people are losing hope that things will ever get better here. When did you realize that things can only go downhill?

What area are you in sounds better there?!
Honestly it's going to vary by business divison and segment. I left one part of optum that was a quick sinking ship. We were losing contracts with providers, getting Corrective actions by health plans. Senior leadership was leaning back to back..... but the new division I am in is thriving and and allows me to thrive and learn even more. It's not every part of optum and United that's bad or unstable. It's got it's bad spots just like anything else. With that being said, I still don't support they way they went about layoffs. It was degrading.
