Thread regarding 3M layoffs

The board had lots to discuss:

• SpinCo CEO finalization, including compensation
• Q3 dividend, but more importantly future RemainCo dividend
• PFAS & potential CAEv2 settlements
• Roman successor
• BoD needs to understand the state of the business to help 3M move forward, so business update is also very necessary

Could probably have done it via a Zoom meeting (like during Covid times), but Roman would "lose face" so he spent company $$$ to fly board members in.

Tireman to VP of remainco and Dominic to VP of spinco.

No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, silver, and purple.

Once Tireman gets the CEO role, you can be sure there will be an executive opening for Dominic.

I'm pulling for Gibbons to get the remainco ceo job. He is brilliant!

Spending millions on private jet trips to bring all BOD members to St.Paul to declare a quarterly dividend ????

Meanwhile in my division, I am having to justify a $200 chemical purchase from my VP.

Gibbons recently commented that 3M is a sleeping Giant. He is here to wake it up.

The fight for remainco is between Monish and Gibbons. Most companies don't like having accountants run the ship as CEO. My money is on Pete.

Remember getting that ballot with several candidates and picking the best one who would truly help 3M?

If Gibbons becomes the CEO of RemainCo, that’s the end of 3M history. Period.

Audrey is a lovely lady, worked so hard to get where she is, great asset to our company, an addition at last that i can agree with

Is it true that Funky Gibbons is being touted as C.E.O. can't believe it myself although some rumors from people I trust are bending my mind here, what is going on , Roman is leaving Feb 24 for sure after Spin and Lavers will be C.E.O for HC

Oh, wonderful, as if 3M hasn't gone woke enough already we have to add a retired "Chief Sustainability Officer" from Morgan Stanley to the board? How about we add someone who has a proven track record of driving growth and profitability in an industrial business. Until we as a company and the board of directors realize that we need to get back into the business of being a business (maximizing profits and growth) we will continue to flounder until we are past the point of no return!

Board of directors met today. Company just announced a dividend of $1.50 per share after today's board meeting. They also elected an additional board member, Audrey Choi, retired Chief Sustainability Officer and Chief Marketing Officer, Morgan Stanley.

Sounds like a road-show to sell
