Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Digital Layoffs occurring 14/15th

Digital Retail has heard layoffs will likely roll-out on 8/14 and 8/15.

With severance compliance, most companies ask people to work 2 weeks to wrap things up. That means the last day would be 9/1, which aligns well with corporate's return to office starting 9/5. Next Mon/Tues also is exactly 2 weeks from when the layoffs were officially announced.

Wishing everyone the best in this hard time

I can confirm this accurate for Aetna Digital; M the 14 and T the 15. I work in a role close with Aetna Digital but not in Aetna Digital itself.

On Friday we were told to put a few projects on the back burner so we can reassess when its shared how much various teams in Aetna Digital will be impacted. My understanding is almost every team has some impact in Aetna Digital, but some are more impacted than others.

All people managers know who is impacted and are and have been planning for transition for 2+ weeks. Common sense says they know so they can plan for it. People managers also gave input on which people should be laid off (starting with performance ratings)

The aetna comment isn’t accurate because the 5 year contract ended in Oct 2022. I know aetna employees that were impacted earlier this spring and summer.

Aetna won't have as high as an impact as CVS corporate. It's part of the deal

There is digital analytics btw - they do adobe, tableau and some colorful charts for the execs separate from AB&C

Yes under Amaresh and Tracey;

My team is under Amaresh and our director told us off the record we’ll know by EOD Tuesday since our team is impacted

Both tech (Amaresh) and product ( Tracey) are a bit bloated

I heard tech is impacted more since product controls the budget
