I’ve heard rumors about a new closing list coming up and I’m curious about which stores are on them. I think I have a good idea which locations are getting the axe this time. Honestly there are a good 50 to 100 stores that I can think of that could close anytime now. Just renovate/ update the store fleet for crying out loud. If you make a store look good and have adequate inventory, people will come to them! I’m sorry but when a store looks like it’s basically a garage sale people don’t tend to come back….

There is no list. Unprofitable stores will close when their lease is up or we can sell the building.
Our store hasn't seen any investment since before the pandemic. Our roof constantly leaks, AC only works half the time and the Dillards down the mall makes our store look like we are already going out of business. What a great idea not to invest in stores and cut inventory levels so low that our surveys constantly ask if we are closing already. The company would be doing us a favor is they closed our store and put us out of our misery.
It's more about your mall than the store. If the mall is dead, good chance your store is on the chopping block unless sales are unreal. It's just that simple, try not to over think it.
I've heard about this too. Apparently towards the end of September.
Tony is going to bring luxury back into Macy’s
There are some doors that I could see closing even in the Northeast. Macys is slowly going the way of Sears and hopefully Tony can reverse course when he assumes control.
Have not seen or heard of an updated list. Every store is going through the register replacement project. Don’t think any will
Be closing soon but you never know.
3 stores all located in the SW region. 1 already in liquidation
You're the expert on which stores should close? What an ego.
There is no closing list…
