I was told integration planning for my BU would happen the last week of August/first week of September. Seems inline with what you’re hearing from your manager.
Tbf, for those of you griping about managers deflecting….inless they are at SVP level or higher - I‘m doubtful that they know anything more than you. Based on my experience dealing with riffs in prior companies as a manager/Director.

Can't get a straight answer out of my manager. She spins and gives a corporate answer for just about anything. At the same time, she blocked my take 1 and take 3 opportunities. Selfish women.
Transformation plan kicks in the day after the August earnings call according to my manager, not sure how credible her source is and couldn't say what it meant so could be more BS.
Last week September is the date.
We’re having 1:1s with them and they said they will work on transition plans in the next coming weeks.
when does the ftc give the green light.
So strange no news on that front.
I guess It gets a rubber stamp in a short press release on Saturday night at 11:45pm.
nobody knows for sure... BUT with that said, keep September and October open to receive some news.
My personal speculation - Oct 7-15 will be the week but we may get some info leaked before then to get an idea of what is about to happen.
Sep 1st half seems early for BC to take any action, Sep 2nd half is possible but to me the most likely is Oct 1st half.
Someone from BC a long time ago said the Day 0 folks got 3 weeks notification and then the package kicked in after 3 weeks. So if you didn’t get that notification you know that you will be in transition or permed.
At this moment, it’s pretty obvious.
Layoffs notices (2 months) will be distributed the first week of September, effective October 31. The bloodbath will happen on that date. People will NOT be surprised. No layoffs will occur at VMWARE until then.
I’ll probably get a costume of Hock for Halloween!
