Most people quit on our team. Sup said not hiring replacements so how the heck are we going to work with 2 people doing the job of 6. Is this a sign that the layoff is coming to our team? Would they ask team members to step up as lead on the team if they were going to lay the whole team off? I wish I could get real answers so I know how to plan and can brace myself.
Could be just the normal meeting. Other teams have had meetings but nothing was said about the layoffs
We have a team meeting that was just set up for today and tomorrow. Wondering if these are just normal monthly meetings?
Good luck. God be with you …. Hope you are not impacted….
Same experience as commenter below me. 100%
They don’t tell u right away hoping that people will find other jobs and jump ship so they don’t have to give u severance. Then they will let people know who are getting laid off and after they leave the ones left will be doing the job of three people because they won’t refill positions eliminated for a very long time. That was my experience being laid off before with aetna
To the person who works in digital, do you not read your emails? Or are you too busy freaking out? Your manager asked you that because of the move to workday.
What department?
The rationale for giving a vague announcement for the mass layoffs was so that it happened before the 2Nd quarter earnings call...so that employees didn't hear it from the news first SMH
Got a big hint from my manager that things will start to happen on 8/14, that after lots of complaining that most departments are not getting work done because people are having to wait out the two week notice
They’ve handled this horribly and they don’t care!
To the person saying they were told to setup the meeting an hour before... this is the only way they should have done the majority of these lay offs. Not give vague announcements two weeks in advance and make everyone worry about their job.
If you're going to lay someone off, do it quickly and with little warning. Don't make everyone sweat.
Very interesting... my manager asked our entire team what days we will be taking off over the next 2 weeks...
I work in Digital
We were told today that you’re supposed to set up the meeting an hour beforehand on the day of being notified.
That's probably not a good sign,
Hoping it’s just a regular 1:1 too
oh no i can say we were "pre warned" this week by leadership - aka actually told we would recieve a letter monday/tues. so no we had our "Calls" this week because i have a leader thats a human..... there isn't many around here.
Remember, the 14th/15th is just a rumor. Nothing has been confirmed yet. Probably just a regular 1:1
if you have a call those days it doesn't look good......
What department are you in? Good luck! I wishing you the best
