If you switch jobs between Optum and UHC with no gap between jobs, does your tenure count towards severance? Wondering if anyone has experience with this? For example, if I was with optum for 4 years then moved to uhc for a couple months, does severance pay for 4 years, or does your tenure restart when you changed roles?

If you have access to Global Self service, you can go to your job information and view your start date or years of service. There are links for job and personal information. Was also told to make sure your career story is filled out. Talent and HR can crawl through employee career stories where you can enter your skills, experience and bio.
Where do we find our combined years of service for Optum/UHG? I check Sparq, Global Service and employee center....
It's one company. I was with UHC for 7 years and with Optum for 14. 21 years service time.
Agree with everything said! I was a casualty of the 8/3 layoffs. Hang in there!
Even if you get laid off they will.
They’ll honor your original hired date so in your case, 4 years of service.
