Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Non Essential Roles

Not a finance and stock expert so I’m just curious if it makes better sense to conduct layoffs for non critical roles under VMware vs post acquisition. I would think it’s better on the BC books if it is done under VMW but asking the experts here?

Perhaps the worse scenario is praying to make the cut, then find yourself dying a slow death at AVGO. OP is right. Head on a swivel folks

Definition of Prior - "existing or coming before in time, order, or importance."

To spell it out more clearly for you, you will know before the deal closes. If the deal will close by October 31st, which is what they are saying on the all-hands calls, we should hopefully see offer letters and layoff notices in later this month, or early September.

Enjoy these last few weeks!

You will find out your fate prior to the acquisition, which is what happened at CA and Symantec. Don't overthink it!
