Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Are new hires more likely to be laid off?

I worked as a contractor for almost 2 years before being converted to a CVS employee a few months ago. I'm nervous about this. Does this make a difference?

It depends on the department. Last year for Omnicare it was a mix including supervisor and trainer that had been with the company about 10 years or more

I started 4 weeks ago. I’m definitely at risk.

Sorry to say that nee hires at at more risk in the team if other members have similar pay but been for long time . The essence of business knowledge they have would be hard to replace than with a new hire

I made it thru a big layoff last year (half our department ) and I was the newest employee (6 months). So it just depends.
