Optum is the bigger company under the UHG umbrella with more products they can sell separately. They will never get rid of Optum.

They didnt acquire CHC for the employees, they did it for the paying customer base

They are preparing and moving as many jobs as possible offshore. The writing is on the wall.

I fully expect it based on the vibe I’ve been getting from my manager this past couple of weeks. I kind of feel bad for the ones left behind, because they are about to get hit with a tsunami of extra work. We were already running bare-bones, two people short with the closed requisitions and other cost-cutting measures this year. I don’t know how they are going to be able to handle the workload. Insanity.

They're not closing, just moving jobs offshore. Theres tons of recruitment happening on job sites in the Philippines.

Optum has always been where UHG is most profitable. It would be SILLY to even consider closing up shop.

Nah, Optum is a margin machine for UHG as long as the ACA is in place. Until the margin rules in the ACA change, Optum is going to be a key component of UHG, and probably keep growing.

Because it's fair to purge all the change staff who have been with CHC for 10+ years & had nothing to do with the merge. We put in the work with our company just like you did with yours.
