Does anyone have any information on the org changes within CIBG that were supposedly rolled-out to that team?

the org is re-aligning from separate product areas to functional alignment under those VPs
Wow, said with such confidence that this is a great biz decision!
You seem like the person in office space who nods yes at all the cr-p the boss is saying when he introduces Bob.
Enjoy the power of the fully operational Death Star… oh I mean fully functionally aligned VPs.
For Fs sake…
Company meetings are for moral posturing only.
Ya know why no one knows what the F CIBG is?
Because our leaders don’t communicate to the employees just what the F the structure of the company at any company meeting.
Can there more more clear evidence of the failure of corporate leadership?
What a sh-t show.
That's right, I don't. And it's not my fault for not knowing them, it's their fault
for not being relevant. It's they are so f'ing important, why does half the
company not know what the Heil they do?
If I didn't know what CIBG was, I wouldn't proudly announce ignorance about where the vast majority of the revenue & profits stem.
I've been here for years and also have no idea what CIBG is or does. It doesn't impact me, or anything in my chain. They're just one of many portions of VMW.
Sounds like CIBG people are a little sensitive that they're not as well known as they thought they were.
Do you mean CBGB?
a business that is being bought for $69B is irrelevant.
CIBG is not being purchased for $69B. VMware is being purchased and Octane has no idea what CIBG is, just like most people.
Why do you think they are restructuring, right before a merger, genius?
Then you are the dead weight that should expect to be cut, especially if you think a business that is being bought for $69B is irrelevant. I'm guessing you are trolling because its hard to believe anyone could be that obtuse.
You work at VMware and don't know what CIBG is

That group is the reason BC is buying VMware.
Then we are worse off than I thought.
the org is re-aligning from separate product areas to functional alignment under those VPs.
Blah, blah, blah.
You work at VMware and don't know what CIBG is - and think its 10 people? Really? CIBG is the BG that contains all PM, Marketing and Engineering that deliver vSphere, VCF and VMC to 400k customers. That group is the reason BC is buying VMware. The source page just showed how the org is re-aligning from separate product areas to functional alignment under those VPs.
There's a CIBG page on source. According to the org chart, It's 10 people including the SVP's executive assistant?
I read the whole page and I still don't know what they do.
Cloud Infrastructure Business Group
.... yes i wtf'd to check what it was. But not heard of any re-orgs. But I'm not in that BU.
Unlikely a non employee. I’ve been here twelvetyten years and I’ve no idea what CIBG is.
Propertiary info? Chill it's not a product they are asking about a reorg. Nobody outside of vmware gives a sh-t if Raghu cans half the staff in the cibg or has everyone reporting to his over sized sweater that he left on the chair. The only thing it may do is show "shareholder value"
News flash! This is not an anonymous board. Anyone can read it. Especially shareholders who are not VMware employees. Who can misread casual conversation here as something more than it really is.
For all we know, this is a non-employee trying to bait for leaks.
Don't sc--w everyone's stock value because someone is really, really curious. If it impacts them, they'll know. They can ask someone in the BU if they really need to know.

Org changes now are like rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic.
And making sure their friends & family have a seat.

You're asking someone to divulge rumored proprietary internal communications?
Good luck to whoever does, because that could certainly be grounds for dismissal.
