Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Data breach

Anyone wondering how long it's going to take before Lowe's issues an actual statement on the data breach that occurred?

Also wondering if the firing of the region 4 RVP is related to the data breach since it happened along the same time.

Hopefully, I can get through my disability discrimination proceedings before this breach begins to damage their stock prices. I don't want Lowe's to think I will be accepting a lower settlement offer because they can't secure their network ecosystem.

My lowes card was used to order several sets of appliances the other day. I only found out because I logged into my account and saw several $2000+ charges that I didn't place, all to lowes stores in CA and WA. I live in NY so why the he-l would I order appliances in CA or WA.

A co-worker told me they were termed and reinstated by the system on 10 July.

I work IT and can say that the timing of the RVP being let go and the breach is not a coincidence. Right now we are still playing damage control and investigating how much was accessed. We are being told that it was a breach that occurred with the Microsoft services that the company uses and not the company's systems. Problem with that is they accessed employee information, payroll, pricing, and several other databases.

What do you expect when Lowe's is still running Genesis, a Dos system

@ebo+1nzQiJ17 everything that I've found relates to old information. None of it is the current breach.

i was talking with a coworker in breakroom yesterday about it. asm walked in and heard just us two talking about it would be funny to find out that there was a breach. asm instantly looks at us and tells us we are not to talk about this anymore. about an hour later i get called to managers office where it's the sm and the asm who came in the breakroom. get told that i was heard saying disparaging things about the company on break today and if i "valued my job" it would be best to "no longer discuss" rumors. both the sm and asm told me next time im heard "discussing these rumors" i will be terminated for confidentiality violations". then i was made to give a statement and sign papers that were typed up saying i would no longer discuss the matter. coworker had the same meeting right after me.

if the breach was a rumor, why would me and my coworker be getting threatened with our jobs?
