Sounds like you have a great director for creating the post and letting you know what to expect. Takes a lot of courage to do both, especially letting you know during a team meeting. He, or she, cares about their staff.

I hear of a huge RIF within RCM Ops. I'm in TES and this was relayed from our senior director in a team meeting.

@ 6twh+1nyvab29 - if you have a good source then why not let us know which departments are impacted?

I love how we all embrace this hot mess of layoffs to be forced and allowed into freedom. It’s somewhat positive to see hear and know that Optum has bad apples all over in their areas of business. I have always felt like other areas of our company umbrella could be better to work for but I see the truth and that we are all treated poorly.

I hope it comes so that way all the garbage middle managers can get gone along with their departments they’re in charge of. Seems like those who are “Yes Men” stick around and enjoy being treated like a puppet. While others get sacrificed in order to re-org the business for cost savings since Optum just loves burning money for no reason. For things like first class plane tickets, fancy leadership team dinners or even large group seminar/speakers…….money just wasting away. And those under grade 29 pay the price for it.

Welp people better put in for disability, and all the other protected classes before this happens. Seems to be the way to avoid being on their hit list. Since DEI is now taken Optum over by storm and is profoundly supported, and Optum wouldn’t risk a lawsuit all Wi--y nilly.
