Layoff 2023

List has been compiled for a layoff. My leader said it’s done. That we are losing money. No revenue from recent projects. Top heavy salaries, but the heart will be cutout where the ones making decisions should be the ones gone. The great employees who will not be given severance. Remaining will not get a 2024 bonus. What happened? How did we end right back in this spot? Last AEM no updates on our finance. But we get a big speech about how it’s our fault and we need the do better. Run.

Our CS team has had enough. Constantly being reshuffled and running maintenance above 65% is not realistic any more.

Tensions are high. Most people in my line are miserable. Not going over our financials last month made it clear to me. We are in the red. RED.

We cannot even spare the low performers. We need all hands at this point. If a few are cut, and the narrative is this, it will hurts those impacted even more. This is about numbers. And we are that at the end of the day.

I already know my fate.

I wonder how wide spread this potential layoff is?? I think a minor layoff to eliminate a few/select low performers is healthy. Drastic cuts, such as what happened in 2022 is not sustainable at this point.

Confirmed that Finance finished the list. Company in the hole $Ms with zero positive revenue. More client’s exiting too

I was told end of July, beginning of August. Same as last year. Our entire department said they will walk if people are laid off. We can’t take MORE WORK and smile about it.
