Will Microsoft layoffs affect Accenture?

Most likely YES if you’re in Avenade or AMBG (Accenture Microsoft Business Group). For those not in the know, AMBG is Accenture’s partner practice with MS on primarily Azure cloud focused efforts. Avenade is a joint-venture between ACN and MS dating to the early 2ks (back when MCSE certs meant something).
It could also be a canary in the coalmine regarding a slowdown in non-AI tech in general.
If you’re still employed with Accenture, now’s the time to upskill and anticipate the next big things in tech. Nothing new here; if you intend to be a “lifer”, you’ll need to reinvent yourself at least a half-dozen times given the business model and how quickly tech evolves. Good luck!
