Next round of big scale layoffs in Q3 maybe in september. Just heard that it will be masive. Has anyone heard anything?

Re The people that were laid off were not major contributors to the business and were mostly jobs created by previous call center leaders.

That's what Nielsen wants you to believe. There are many companies today that can do what Nielsen does, and far better. Nielsen is no longer taken seriously by clients, it has become a butt joke. Actually clients want Nielsen gone completely, they hate the company to no end. Nielsen is becoming smaller and smaller and will eventually dissipate. It will not make a big noise as it has become so brittle and so frail. Still, you don't wanna be there when it happens.

What I’m hearing from my co-workers is that the layoffs this past week impacted the call centers.

The jobs that were eliminated were mostly jobs that were created during the COVID pandemic and now that the remote work has stabilized there was less of a need. Basically Nielsen figured out how to run the business with less staff and return to pre-pandemic staffing numbers.

Research associates have been given the option to transfer to other lines of business and a only very small group have actually been laid off.

Previous call center leaders had a poor understanding of the research business and once Nielsen was sold, consultants were brought in to restructure the company.

The people that were laid off were not major contributors to the business and were mostly jobs created by previous call center leaders.

Can anyone verify that this is true?

Layoffs have become part of the business model. Curios to hear how it will be presented on the next Town Hall.

they just did a huge cut this past week, so even after this new current wave of layoffs, will they still have one in SEPT?

I am sure that the lawyers have been trying to find him for a while to serve him cease and desist paperwork. But it's hard to track down someone that lives in their car. Of course that's Nielsen's fault as well.

re: How big were Q2 layoffs? The silence is louder this time...

yes, If there were layoffs they were isolated;probably performance related and la\yoff process is easier

I heard they were sending their lawyers to go after a guy on "thelayoff.com". Sometime in August. Just a heads up.
