Yes, that one he really hung on for a big paycheck and $$ farewell, leaving a mess behind. Too bad Carlyle/CS management doesn't understand the technology and ki-led things faster than anyone could have imagined. They're used to chopping companies up and selling off the pieces. Guess they didn't see the plandemic in the works, or realize they'd have to work harder for their $$ and tax breaks this round.
If you still have a job at CS, do yourself a favor and get out.
I volunteered for layoff so I’m looking forward to it but I feel for those who can’t handle it if it does happen!
Isn’t HN still on the slate for a spin out or sale? Each qtr the CEO refers to that
HN still remains from Arris
This last shake out is the last mail in the coffin of the Arris purchase. All those decision makers have gone leaving a company in tatters and on life support
The PON BU was an very badly conceived concept- the brainchild of a exec who by his own admissions has previously failed twice at a PON Business, now gone the rest of the business now needs to pick it up and run it as a proper business addressing a market that is understood. CCS was never the right place for “active” networks and was set up to fail- its now in a home where it should have been from day 1 , the sad thing is that through incompetence and naivety, some very smart people indeed have paid the ultimate price for a complete misunderstanding of the market and the business they thought the were in.
The whole PON business under CCS has been dropped. All engineers etc now going through a consultation phase before being made redundant
It used to be called black Friday before it was a shopping thing
lol as if anyone would inform and give "concise answer" these days. Esp. pertaining to employment status. CS would rather let you know the same day you're being let go.
In response to:
"hourly or management or both? give me a voluntary offer and I'll gladly leave".
Salaried employees at all levels. If you have concerns, speak to someone in your management line and get a clear and concise answer.
I know at least in NC that it’s gonna affect hourly folks.
hourly or management or both? give me a voluntary offer and I'll gladly leave
On a Friday? Thought Tuesday was the usual day
