Ever since the company laid off some of the best people, I have been looking for my way out. The atmosphere has become very toxic.
I still don't understand why the laid off best ones and left those that don't put in any effort?

That’s my perspective as well. Very partial to good old boy network regardless of performance. Not a good sign when they make irrational business decisions and have two layoffs in 30 days. Run don’t walk. It’s not over.
