Rich, Elisa, Matt , and now Dennis …. 3 unexpected Senior Executives departures and 1 planned. Who’s next? Marc M by August - stores are being run into the ground and I anticipate Jeff leaving before February. Tony making moves and space for his Bloomingdale's team…. Macy’s is going to be interesting.

why does Macy's need 2 chiefs in Tech? Laura is clearly incompetent, whole Tech hates her. If Adrian is the boss now, why keep Laura and pay millions?
The worst thing Jeff did was move HQ to NY from Cincinnati. He was trying to be trendy and move to one of the coasts like so many other companies have predictably done. Companies are now waking up and realizing the potential of “fly over country” - cheap wages, lower costs, tons of growth opportunities. Jeff had a chance to keep HQ here, but his ego and inability to think outside the box cost Macys big time. Good luck and can’t wait to see the pr announcement- Jeff has chosen to pursue outside opportunities…
Who’s the next big wig to leave?
The board is obviously forcing Jeff to retire. He has done nothing positive for this company. He basically ran it into the ground.
Hope it is not too late for Tony to turn things around. Yes Tony will bring his team but he will not take all of the talent from Bloomingdale’s.
Tony maintained the legacy of Bloomingdale’s he was hand picked and mentored by Mike Gould the previous CEO of Bloomingdale’s. Tony is talented enough to understand that Macy’s is the complete opposite of Bloomingdale’s high end fashion customer.
Tony will most likely try to raise the bar of Macy’s merchandise but he also knows that the Macy’s customer is not looking for high fashioned high priced designer merchandise.
Prior to Jeff Macy’s was a good moderate based department store and maintained that position. Jeff has turned Macy’s into a low end bargain basement. The customer does not want the poorly made quality of the private label brands. The moderate customer no longer shops Macy’s thanks to Jeff.
Tony certainly has his work cut out for him.
Of course this is what the new leadership will do. They bring in the people who they feel will help them the most to run the company good or bad. Whether it equates to success remains to be seen. The lower amount of traffic in these stores is not helping so some changes have to be made to keep Macys relevant.
The HSQ Flagship never has enough Mannequin’s for the FOB’S. The facilities Team is Great. You can’t go into the Mailroom and talk to anyone. You have 1 guy who guards the door like his life depends on it. They have a Barn door that looks like a Horse eating Hay! I wish that we could go back to our old building! Are any Director positions being eliminated?
Dennis who?
remember then the titanic hit the ice berg it was all the rich people who got on the life boat first among women and children. my impression is they know the numbers and they see what's coming and its time to get out before you go down with the ship.
Macys will be sold to investors or Simon malls like JCPenney's
